Alexander Engelke is currently owner of Engelke Consulting (www.engelkeconsulting.com) and AWE Rail Holdings, LLC (www.awerail.com). Engelke Consulting provides railroad industry analysis for institutional investors, new railroad development/start-up consulting, rail-served industrial site development/management, Federal regulatory compliance administration, and general railroad consulting services. Engelke Consulting's most recent success was the development and start-up of East Chicago Rail Terminal, LLC (a Class 3 common carrier railroad) and East Chicago Transload, LLC. Mr. Engelke sits on the University of Illinois at Chicago Business Advisory Council board of directors, is an affiliate member of the Transportation Research Board, and a member of various railroad industry organizations. Mr. Engelke earned his M.B.A. from Southern Utah University and is currently pursuing a D.B.A. degree from Grand Canyon University. Mr. Engelke intends to use qualitative research methods to determine the ideal combination of management techniques and labor relations skills that produce the greatest long-term value for investors. He recognizes the importance of applying his twenty years of business experience to the classroom environment, providing students with actionable insight into real world business problems.
